CACAO CEREMONY OF THE HEART

On the 16th of June 2019, I guided a Raw Cacao ceremony in the jungle paradise of Sri Lanka. We were a group of nine Succulent Wild Women that came together to honor one another and hold space for each one of our delicate hearts.

Cacao ceremonies have been around for thousands of years, originating all the way back to Mayan and Aztec traditions in Central and South America, used for spiritual, medicinal and ceremonial purposes for inner awakening and creative guidance. Pure cacao is used as a heart-opening medicine for people to safely experience awakening, revelation and inner healing. A space to enter into meditation, being able to silence the mind, and connect to the wisdom and spirit within you.

My main aim of holding ceremonies is to create a safe environment where each individual can open up and completely drop their guard. I choose to use cacao as a connection facilitator as it aids in any transformational shifts we are working towards. It helps to guide us into an inner journey deep into the emotional center of our body – our heart chakra.

The ceremony was held on the full moon in Sagittarius which was the most important moon phase so far this year. A full moon occurs when the Sun is opposite the Moon. This highlights opposing forces or polarities in your life such as your work versus home, or what you need versus what you want.

I started the ceremony with a guided meditation, creating a space for us to breath, to let go and to trust. Together we honoured the Raw cacao with a ritual once I had blessed each Women and they had received their warm cup of plant medicine.

Throughout the evening, as the Moon ascended higher and higher into the Skye, We embarked on an inspiring set of heart-opening exercises.

We enhanced all of our five main senses: Sight, Sounds, Smell, Taste and Touch that ignited our Sisterhood. We danced under the stars, created our own circle of trust, we expressed, we felt the vibration of the raw cacao and we pulled Journey cards which allowed us to see just how connected we all actually are.

The full moon on  June 16 coincided with the two major planetary aspects of 2019, Jupiter and Saturn.

Jupiter – bringing disappointment or embarrassment that makes us question ourselves and our faiths. Saturn – giving us strong self-belief, spiritual wisdom and self-discipline to help us sacrifice short-term gratification for long-term success. Allowing us to make our dreams come true with hard work and a sensible, realistic approach.

A new moon is when we set our intentions and a full moon is when we harvest our intentions, this showcases the relationship between the two moons. We had privately set our own intentions on June 3rd New moon and at the end of the ceremony, we came together in a closing circle to discuss, release, let go and burn our intentions in the fire, creating space to harvest our new dreams.

A powerful evening, filed with magic and a bunch of authentic, beautiful Women. Thank you for allowing me to sprinkle my magic dust upon all of you. And remember, always to

Trust. Trust with love.
